Jazz at Lake Hainer°5: Wiesner4 present "Amarcord in Jazz"

Five voices renowned for their homogeneous sound. Five singers who collectively grasp the essence of a piece and bring it to life for the listeners. Five musicians so perfectly attuned to one another that, as a vocal instrument, they cover the full range of an entire orchestra. 

Now you have the opportunity to experience these exceptional singers up close and live in a jazz club atmosphere. We are delighted that Amarcord accepted Wiesner4's invitation and will be performing their wonderfully melodious a cappella interpretations of catchy and groovy jazz songs at the fifth edition of "Jazz am Hainer See." In the second part of the concert, each of the five singers will take center stage as a soloist: accompanied by Wiesner4, each will sing a jazz standard – solo! And for the grand finale, all nine musicians will perform together.

Amarcord:

They have performed in 57 countries on almost every continent. They have released over 20 albums. They are winners of numerous music awards. For example, they have twice received the internationally renowned Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (CARA). In 2010 and 2012, they were awarded the ECHO Klassik, Germany's most important music prize. They received the Supersonic Award and were nominated for the MIDEM Classical Award, the most important prize of European record critics, in early 2010.
