A mailbox for the water tourists on the Cospudener See

In the middle of the Cospudener See, on a tiny island, a yellow postal mailbox sticks out of the water.

This unusual mailbox is often used by the water tourists on the lake. They come with water treadles, rowboats, paddle boats or with the air mattress.

The island mailbox is emptied once a week during the season. Before the post goes through the normal post, the card or letter gets a special cancellation.

The new "postmaster" is called Thomas Knoll and is now responsible for emptying the island mailbox.

Thomas is also the "new guy". Paddelmax, various watercraft you can at "Paddelmax" borrow.
