The dive center of the diving school Florian is located on the south shore of the lake Kulkwitzer directly at the parking lot in Göhrenz. During the time of lignite mining, numerous trees grew in the pit. Some of them have been flooded and now serve pike, catfish and other fish as shelters.
With its excellent water quality and very good visibility under water as well as three dives into the lake, some with underwater platforms and sunken diving objects, the Kulkwitzer Lake attracts several thousand divers from all over the world every year. The dive center of the Leipzig Dolphins is located directly on the eastern shore of the Kulkwitzer lake.
