Sailing in and out at Pier 1

Since the opening of Lake Cospuden in 2000, the arrival and departure ceremonies at Pier 1 have been a tradition. Every year, around May 20th, the sailors of Lake Cospuden meet for their first joint outing.

The sailing usually takes place on Sunday around October 20th.

The communal mess, always held at the arrival and departure of the ship, is well-known and dreaded. This is where the sailing route is discussed, news is exchanged, and the dreaded seagull shit crackers are eaten.

Of course there is also a schnapps to wash it down with.
