Ship ahoy – your own boat mooring

When we built the first jetties into the new lake at Lake Cospuden 20 years ago, with Pier 1, the forecasts for water sports were still sobering. The assumption was that a few dinghies like 4,20s or Ixylons would settle here. Today, 20 years later, alongside hundreds of dinghies, there are just as many larger cabin boats and small motorboats for picnics or fishing in the large and beautiful harbors of Leipzig's New Lake District.

Having your own boat slip, your own boat – that's the foundation for a completely new way of life in this area. On board, you slow down, find peace and quiet. Shoes off, cell phone off. Taking a short trip across the lake or to the neighboring harbor with friends, swimming or fishing from the boat, or enjoying dinner and wine on board. These are the desires of the amateur captains.
